LCM is the ELCA's mission to the public and non-Lutheran private colleges and
universities-centered in Word and Sacrament-committed to developing leaders for
the church and society-reaching out to young adults on campus, many of whom are
unchurched.
God's love in Jesus Christ empowers Lutheran Family and Children's Services
of Missouri to help families, children, and individuals experience greater hope
and wholeness of life. LFCS carries out this mission by providing adoption,
foster care, counseling, transitional housing, child day care, youth mentoring
and disaster relief services which touch more than 23,000 children and adults

The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, a seminary of the
ELCA, prepares Lutheran pastors, teachers, missionaries and lay leaders for

Oaks Indian Center, Oaks, OK, located near the heart of the Cherokee Nation,
is a residential home for children, ages 3-18, the victims of abuse, neglect,
abandonment, and general lack of parental care. Begun in 1926, Oaks provides
comprehensive programs of spiritual, emotional, physical and educational care in
a family and community environment, while providing leadership in a
community-wide system of human services in partnership with others.
